BULK CHEMICAL MANUFACTURING
Integrating and automating the plant floor - from test tube to tanker car
A major chemical laboratory and processing facility chose Absolute Automation Systems Inc. (AASI) to streamline their prototyping, high volume production, data gathering
and documentation processes.
Using an A-B Control Logix System, AASI engineered, fabricated, and programmed controls for integrating 20 chemical reactors and other systems in the plant. Data from all areas is generated and recorded to establish and log production procedures and also for batch tracing purposes. A distributed control scheme protects the other reactors should one malfunction.
The system is scalable, so adding more reactors requires only simple "copy & paste" programming additions. Prototyping results are easier to replicate at full production volumes because of the robust, automated data collection, and overall plant efficiency is greatly improved.

LIQUID WASTE TREATMENT
Control system review, design and fabrication
A leading provider of liquid waste treatment systems consulted with Absolute to review and refine a process control and instrumentation system design. Priorities for the complex, multi-bay control panel system included reliability, ease of maintenance, and the integration of the new system with legacy components. Absolute then assembled the system, delivering neat work and detailed documentation to enhance serviceability in the future.

Adding value and flexibility
Absolute Automation provides flexible, on-demand production and competitive pricing to a leading manufacturer of material handling/safety equipment. In addition to just-in-time control box fabrication, Absolute's engineers optimized the control designs for more efficient production and to meet new electrical requirements. Absolute also provided schematic diagrams that are delivered with the product documentation.

- Lean Manufacturing
PRODUCT STANDARDIZATION
Saves manufacturer $$$ on every unit
A major provider of solid raw-material handling equipment came to Absolute Automation for estimates on control boxes for its full range of equipment. While reviewing the specifications, Absolute recognized the opportunity to create a standardized design and reduce the number of different components required. The standardization, in addition to lowering costs, brought dividends through simplified documentation and servicing.
Reduced:
- Complexity
- Carrying & Inventory Costs
- Lead Times
MULTIPLE PUMPING STATIONS
Integration and Automation
Absolute Automation provided electrical design engineering and software development to create a turn-key system that enables multiple pumping stations to communicate with each other. The new system achieves the objectives of automating the operation and monitoring of the pumping system, reducing the opportunity for human error.
- Open, scalable design
- Robust control system network
- Remote monitoring, control and alarm notification
